Watch: a businessman shoot and killing a suspected robber who allegedly tried to take his money

Limpopo police are urging members of the public to be vigilant at all times when visiting shopping centres across the province.

On Monday, a businessman shot and killed a suspected robber who allegedly tried to take his money as he used an ATM at the Cycad Shopping Centre in Polokwane.



Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says motorists must always park in an area that is in public view or visible to security personnel because this decreases their chances of them being robbed or hijacked.

Ngoepe is advising anyone who is confronted by criminals during a robbery or hijacking to use their own discretion and react accordingly – like screaming for help if in public.
